Pullman boy hit by bullet while hunting with family

WHITMAN COUNTY--A Pullman boy was hospitalized Saturday night after he was shot in a hunting accident according to the Whitman County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said the 12-year-old boy was in Southwest Whitman County hunting with his family when a bullet hit him early Saturday morning.

It is still unclear who accidentally shot him.

The boy was rushed to the local hospital in Colfax and then transferred to a Spokane hospital for observations. The boy is believed to have serious but non life threatening injuries according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Fish and Wildlife are now investigating.
