SPOKANE, Wash-- A major winter storm that began thawing in early March left behind a number of potholes that kept city officials busy.
Members of the streets department were out Wednesday filling the crumbling asphalt.
One crew member said he attended to between 30 and 40 potholes during the first seven hours of his shift.
The crews used a cold mix, which is a temporary fix, to fill holes in North Spokane Wednesday and said their work would continue Thursday.
Despite their hard work, some crew members reported feeling under appreciated, saying drivers have gone as far as to curse at them.
