POST FALLS, Idaho-- New details emerged Wednesday about mysterious fires at a Post Falls trailer park.
El Rancho Mobile Home Park is now closed for good after investigators say someone started fired in at least four empty homes there.
Investigators say they know at least one of the fires was started purposely, and they have evidence to prove it.
Larry Murphy saw the flames destroy a vacant trailer Tuesday, as well as burn the one next door.
“I turned around and this trailer was up in flames,” he said.
Murphy was there helping his friend move his trailer out of the park. He says they are trying to get the trailer removed before someone sets it on fire too.
The burned trailers are the third and fourth to go up in flames in about a month.
Fire investigator Dan Ryan wants to know why the suspect or suspects set these fires.
Officials said Wednesday someone set flames to debris. It would have caused the fifth trailer fire, but the flames did not spread.
“There is a concern someone is setting fires. We just don’t know who yet,” Ryan said.
There is a $500 reward on the table for anyone who can offer information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
