POST FALLS, Idaho.--Winter weather played a role in a crash that killed a Post Falls couple Tuesday morning. The crash happened on Interstate 90 just east of Cataldo.
Ben and Korie Mullican were killed when their SUV lost control and was hit by an oncoming semi truck.
The Mullican’s left behind two teenage children. Friends and family mourned the loss of the couple on Wednesday.

Family members said Ben Mullican worked at a Styrofoam manufacturing company in Post Falls. Korie Mullican worked in the kitchen at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene.
The two were married for nearly two decades and would have celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in March.
The Mullican’s were headed to Quinn’s Hot Springs Resort in Montana to celebrate their birthdays when they crashed.
Korie Mullican turned 36 in early January and Ben Mullican would have turned 40 on Thursday.
Korie Mullican’s sister Heidi said Korie was her best friend and could be described as the happiest person ever.
Family members said they were working on a service for the couple on Wednesday. They said they also may be setting up a fund to help support their two children.
