Police search for suspects in sixth Spokane pharmacy theft

SPOKANE, Wash—Police responded to the sixth local pharmacy theft in recent weeks Friday night at an Albertsons in North Spokane.

Spokane Police searched the area near Nevada and Francis for two men who allegedly jumped over the counter demanding pharmaceuticals.

The suspects, described as white and wearing hoodies, were not carrying weapons according to police.

Police employed a K9 unit, but the suspects escaped.

Lieutenant Craig Meidl said every city sees peaks in violent crime and The Spokane Police Department is assigning additional resources in light of recent events.

Employees said the incident was scary, but no one was hurt.
