SPOKANE, Wash. -- Detectives say they tracked down a wanted felon in a known Spokane drug house.

Police received a tip that Savaad Alex, 35, was frequenting a house in the 1900 block of West Grace.

Officers were able to arrest Savaad, a suspect with 18 previous felony convictions, without incident at the home.

They searched the house after taking him into custody. They say they found cash, heroin, crack cocaine and indications that drugs were being sold there. They allegedly also came across a handgun, which is illegal for a felon to possess, along with ammunition.

He was booked into jail for an outstanding DOC warrant and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Three others were arrested in the search. Molly E. McBride, Lonnie R. Goin and William Higgins now face drug-related charges.
