SPOKANE-- Police have identified the body of the woman found on Saturday in Spokane.
Police say Evon Moore, 48, was found dead in an alley near the intersection of N. Riverside Ave and N. Ralph Street around 1:30 p.m.
The body was found near the Pepsi warehouse when officers say a worker went into the alley to throw something in the trash and noticed what appeared to be an arm.
Officer Tim Moses tells KREM 2 News there are obvious signs of trauma on the woman’s body and her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Police say the body appears to have been at the scene for a few hours before it was discovered.
Family members have created a memorial where she was found.
Employees near-by told KREM 2’s Katie Utehs that there is a lot of dangerous activity in the area. Employees have found needles and condoms on the ground.
Police aren't saying much about the case.
