SPOKANE, Wash. -- An IRONMAN competitor will be wearing pink this weekend to share the message that “women are warriors.”

Laura Narolski fought and survived Stage 2 breast cancer. She said the fight gave her a new perspective, one which inspired her to train for IRONMAN last year.

But after over a hundred miles of exercise, she missed the cut-off time and was pulled from the course.

"When the nutrition side beat me and I couldn't cross the finish line, I felt very defeated,” Narolski said. “I felt like I had let my cancer beat me."

Laura, though, knows better than anyone how not to give up.

She spent the past year training and we'll be out there again this weekend for her second IRONMAN, decked out in pink.
