PINEHURST, Idaho-- Someone broke into the Pinehurst Golf Club early Saturday morning and set fire to the clubhouse, according the manager.
Ron Barker says the suspect or suspects broke into the building through the back door and set the fire.
Flame resistant carpet prevented the flames from spreading, but the building suffered significant smoke damage.
The club is open Saturday. Barker says they are operating on tables set up in front of the clubhouse.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office says the Pinehurst Police Department is investigating.
