NEAR KELLOGG, Idaho -- A passenger is dead after the driver lost control of his car and rolled down an embankment.
Idaho State Patrol said the crash happened at 4:19 p.m. Saturday on Old River Road. They said Chad Ward, 21, was driving southbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve.
He drove off the road, crashed into a rock embankment and overturned. Troopers said Ward's passenger, 19-year-old Anthony Legard, died at the scene.
Troopers said both Ward and Legard were not wearing their seatbelts.
