DEER PARK, Wash.-- Search warrants reveal new details in the murder of Deer Park mother Chanin Starbuck. Deputies say Starbuck had bruises on her arms and face she was found in the bedroom of her home. The coroner ruled she'd been strangled.
Deputies say Starbuck believed her ex-husband, Clay Starbuck, had been entering her home. They say she'd installed a security camera, but have not said if any evidence was pulled from the surveillance system.
Detectives seized several computers and Starbuck's phone. They're looking at a text message she allegedly sent Clay asking him to pick-up their children. The message was sent the same day she was killed. Detectives are not sure if it was sent by Chanin or her killer.
They've also taken DNA from people Chanin was dating and her ex-husband. Investigators say they pulled DNA evidence from the crime scene. They say all samples were given freely.
They have not yet named a suspect.
