SPOKANE, Wash. -- People living in Green Bluff are on different sides about whether weddings and other events should be allowed in the area.
The Spokane County commissioners came up with a way to work things out. They decided to create a committee of neighbors to help decide what is best for the neighborhood.
Some argue the noise, parking, and hosting weddings takes away from the Green Bluff experience. On the flip side, others argue it helps the public learn about farming.
Both sides now have the chance to be on a committee to decide what should happen in the area. Neighbors believe they can come to a compromise; whether it is a curfew on the noise or letting others know about upcoming events and important farm work.
Neighbors on both sides of the issue said they’ve submitted testimony on the issue to the county and hope they get selected to be on the board reviewing the new policy.
