RATHDRUM, Idaho -- A new charter school in North Idaho received a $50,000 grant for its innovative learning style.
North Idaho Stem Charter Academy in Rathdrum is one of only six schools to receive the grant.
The school, which opened its doors two weeks ago, mixes new teaching styles with traditional models.
School Director Colleen Thompson said the money will go toward different program and new technology for the school.
The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation awarded the grants.
North Idaho Stem Charter Academy teaches kids in kindergarten through 8th grade.
