SPOKANE—Another Spokane Police Officer is being outted for their involvement in the Otto Zehm case.
Spokane Police Officers will be testifying in Karl Thompson trial but we've confirmed another officer is being looked at for her possible obstruction during the Otto Zehm investigation.
Officer Sandra McIntyre will testify in the upcoming criminal trial for Karl Thompson.
Otto Zehm, a mentally disabled man, was beaten while in police custody in March of 2006. Thompson now faces charges for excessive force and lying to investigators.
Mcintyre's attorney Rob Cossey told KREM 2’s Katie Utehs, she has been served with a target letter which means she is being investigated by the US Justice Department for her involvement in the alleged Zehm cover-up.
Cossey says for the time being they're focusing on the upcoming Thompson trial. He says during McIntyre's testimony at trial she'll be honest and say exactly what she knows.
The Thompson trial is scheduled to begin October 11th.
Cossey says McIntyre will testify, but a specific date hasn't been set.
