SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash-- The Spokane County Medical Examiner revealed the names of the two University High School students killed during a weekend wreck. McKenzie Mott, 15, died October 6thalong with Josie K. Freier, 15, along South Bates Road.
Both teenagers were passengers in the vehicle when it crashed according to authorities.

Freier died from blunt impact to her spinal column according to the autopsy report. The Medical Examiner listed Mott’s cause of death as blunt impact to head.

Two teenage girls died and a teenage boy was critically injured after the car they were traveling in hit a tree Saturday night near the intersection of Ponderosa and Bates. According to the assistant principal of U-High, all three were sophomores at the school.

The teenage survivor was released from the ICU on Monday but it hospitalized in satisfactory condition according deputies at the Spokane Co. Sheriff’s Office.
