SPOKANE--Actor Matthew Modine was in Spokane Friday to join in a “flash mob” to help raise money for two local businesses.
The staged event was put on to raise money for the Milk Bottle and Ferguson’s café, two businesses hit by fire late last summer.
The idea all started when Modine tweeted that he was looking for ideas to promote a fundraiser for the two restaurants. Resident Holly Jones answered that they should do a flash mob.
After such a large turnout at the event Modine will donate $500 to the owners of the two restaurants.
It was the actor’s first return to the Inland Northwest since 1985.
