ROYAL CITY, Wash. -- A man wanted in the brutal attack of a teenage girl was arrested Friday near Royal City.
Deputies responded to reports of a domestic assault at a home in the 14000 block of Crook Loop SW during the early morning hours of October 29.
They found a 17-year-old girl with severe head wounds. She was transported to Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
Detectives pegged 20-year-old Wilmer S. Guerrero as their suspect. Police said Guerrero fled before deputies arrived.
Guerrero was captured by a team that included United States Marshals, Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Moses Lake Regional Tactical response team.
He was booked into the Grant County Jail on charges related to the assault.
