SPOKANE -- A man is alive after rescue crews pulled him out of a home filled with smoke.
It started when a call came into emergency dispatchers around 2:30pm Friday that at a home near North Cedar and West Garland Avenue was filled with smoke. There was a report that food was burning on the stove.
When fire crews arrived, they found neighbors banging on the outside windows because they believed someone was inside. Firefighters went into the smoke filled house. They found a man in his 30's unresponsive on a couch. They dragged him outside and were able to revive him using CPR.
Emergency crews took the man to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Authorities have not released his name and condition.
