SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A man punched and left lying in a Spokane Valley parking lot has died from his injuries.

The assault happened Saturday, Feb. 9 outside of Thai Way Lounge at Fancher and Broadway.

The victim was found unconscious on the ground. Witnesses told deputies he appeared to have instigated a fight with another man, who then punched the victim in self defense. He died Feb. 14.

Witnesses saw the other man drive away after the fight. The tell police he left with a woman in a silver or gold four-door Chrysler, possibly a 300 series.

Detectives have not yet determined the identity of that man. He’s described as 6 feet tall with a thin build and short, dark hair. He was seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and baseball hat.
