SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.—A man with a warrant out for his arrest made a run for it Wednesday landing him in jail with a few more charges to his name.
A witness alerted authorities Colton Kilgallen, 21, was in a back yard of a home on the 12900 block of E. Olive Avenue. Kilgallen had an active warrant out for his arrest though it is unclear what for.
Authorities were aware Kilgallen had a history of running from police so several deputies and Liberty Lake officers responded to the location.
The homeowner told the police Kilgallen was sitting on the back porch and gave them permission to enter the home. When they found Kilgallen, officers said he took off running. Kilgallen managed to make it through six yards, jumping fences along the way, before police caught him. When authorities arrested him, Kilgallen said he was sorry and that he was “just being stupid.”
Kilgallen was booked into the Spokane County Jail on six counts of 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass, one count of 1st Degree Criminal Trespass, Resisting Arrest, and the Department of Corrections Warrant.
