Armed man allegedly robs Browne's Addition store

SPOKANE-- A man armed with a gun robbed a Browne’s Addition store late Wednesday night.

It happened just before midnight at the Sunset Grocery store in the 1900 block of West Sunset Boulevard.

Police said the man displayed a handgun and demanded cash. He fled with only $200.

Police say they used a K-9 unit to help track him, but they had no luck.

The owner says there were two employees working at the time, one was working his very first night shift.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black man, 20 to 22-years-old. He is reportedly between 5-feet-5-inches and 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs 150-160 pounds.

The handgun is described as a black semi-automatic pistol.

A K9 was used to help track the suspect, but he remains at large. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
