Woman groped outside North Spokane grocery store

SPOKANE, Wash.  --  Spokane Police said a man groped a woman while she was trying to pick up weekend groceries.

According to court records, the suspect walked up to the victim and aggressively groped her while she was trying to walk into a North Spokane grocery store.

Police said the suspect committed the crime in broad daylight.

Spokane Police told KREM 2 News witnesses helped them track down the suspect, Jamal William Lamar Johnson.

According to court records, the 6-foot-3, 285 pound man came out of nowhere and wrapped his arms around the victim.

Court documents said he refused to let go, and touched the victim in a sexual manner.

The victim told police that Johnson released her after about 15 seconds 

Spokane Police said they have had run-ins with Johnson in the past.

As of August 25th, he remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
