SPOKANE -- Authorities in Spokane Valley are calling a large increase in vandalism over the past month “malicious mischief”.
A professional cleaning company wiped up after an incident Wednesday where some kids stole a vehicle and set it on fire in a driveway.
Residents in one neighborhood report having their homes egged and vandalized over and over again.
A Spokane County Sheriff’s cruiser was also tagged with spray paint recently. Deputies said most of the vandalism cases are minor, but they are responding to more of them.
Authorities would not say who is behind the crimes, but neighbors think high school kids are causing the trouble. Some of those homeowners are installing home security systems in hopes of catching the criminals in the act.
