SPOKANE, Wash.--Major Crimes detectives requested that Jason Flett's charges be upped to first degree murder for allegedly killing Ramona Childress.

The remains of Childress, 27, were found on November 14, 2012 near Elk, Washington.
A medical examiner listed Childress' cause of death as a homicidal violence.
