Lower South Hill pharmacy robbed at gunpoint

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police said a pharmacy on Spokane's lower South Hill in the Fifth and Browne medical building was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

Authorities said a white man in his 50's entered the pharmacy on West 5th Avenue and displayed a semi-automatic hand gun.

This pharmacy robbery is one of many in early January.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the pharmacy. They described the witness as wearing a black leather jacket, dirty jeans and a white knit hat.

Officials said he got away in a dark grey Ford Taurus.

The suspect got away with medication, according to authorities.

No one was injured.
