SPOKANE, Wash. -- Local businesses are supporting the 12th Man and making a little money at the same time.
For Henry Hill at Huppin’s, selling TV’s leading up to the Super Bowl means a game plan filled with lots of inventory and hefty discounts
“It's a big part of what we do.” In some ways we plan heavier for Super Bowl than Christmas,” said Hill.
Along with Huppin’s, other local businesses were cashing in on Super Bowl fever. Mexican restaurant Hacienda Las Flores was serving up Seahawk punch. Orphaned Decor on N. Market planned to mark 25 percent off everything in the store if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl. At DeLeon's market, staff were cooking up blue and tortilla green chips.
DeLeon’s owner Sergio DeLeon said he couldn’t keep the bags on the shelves.
“Yeah, man I kind of kicked my self in the butt, I should have thought about this a while ago,” said DeLeon. “So far it's been a big hit.”
If you really want to show your Seahawks pride, artist Dwayne Nill from the Boars Head Tattoo parlor is offering 12th Man tattoos for $12 with an $8 dollar tip.
Indeed, business owners said they wish it was Super Bowl weekend every weekend.
