SPOKANE—  When people think about who needs blood donations most, people with massive injuries might come to mind.  But often, it is children who need it most.

Tyler Cordle was a typical toddler even though he was diagnosed with cancer back in 2008.  Cordle relied on blood donations to ease the constant pain.  Cordle underwent 40 blood transfusions which bought his family more time with the little boy.

Cancer claimed Cordle’s life but his name lives on through his family’s fight to get blood donors.
