MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Spokane Bomb Squad responded to Moscow, Idaho Saturday evening after a pipe bomb scare.
Authorities said someone found the device attached to a fuse shortly before 4:30pm and brought it to the Latah County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Wayne Rausch said a man found the device on a county road and he decided to take it to the Sheriff's office for disposal so no one would get hurt.
All non-essential personnel were evacuated from the building, which is part of the county courthouse.
Surrounding streets were also sealed off.
Investigators say there are no suspects or persons of interest in the case.
The device was detonated around 9:00 p.m. and authorities cleared the area after it was determined the potential threat was over.
