SPOKANE, Wash.-- KREM 2’s Chief Meteorologist, Tom Sherry, was voted Best Weathercaster in the Inlander's “Best of” poll for the 19th year in a row.

The news magazine’s special issue that lets the local community vote for its’ favorite people and places entered its’ third decade in 2014. For the first time, voters utilized Facebook and smartphones to fill out their ballots and submit their favorite questions, making it the first ever original readers’ poll and the biggest in the Inland Northwest.

The Inlander honored Sherry for his warm disposition and nonprofit work in Spokane.  An Inlander reader wrote:

"He's such a positive contributor to the community. I love that he uses his 'local celebrity' status to promote good causes around Spokane. Things like Tom's Turkey Drive really help people who live here and show that he truly cares." (DW)

Sherry celebrated with his family at a reception for the winners.
