SPOKANE -- Spokane Police are investigating whether two burglaries at North Spokane jewelry stores Monday morning are connected.
Officers say around 6:00 a.m., the doors to the Pounders Jewelry on North Division were smashed. Owners say the suspects did not gain access to the store, and nothing was taken.
Then around 6:35 a.m., officers say the Pawn 1 on North Market was also hit. Store owners say they rushed to the store after getting an alarm call, and found car parts in front of the store where the doors were broken.
A witness told police they saw two males loading items into the back of a car. Police recovered the vehicle, a stolen Honda, at the scene.
Officers are looking for two white male suspects, one wearing a brown leather jacket, white t-shirt, and jeans. The other was wearing black jeans and a white and gray camouflage jacket.
