COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – This Sunday’s Ironman Coeur d’Alene will take more than 2,000 athletes in and out of the downtown area all day long as they complete a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run.

Here’s what time you can expect to see each event:
6:00-7:00 a.m. – Swim start at Lake Coeur d’Alene
7:00-9:30 a.m. – Athletes transition to their bikes
11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. – Athletes transition to running
2:00-11:59 p.m. – Runners cross the finish line

There are plenty of spots along the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene to watch the swim. The most popular spot to watch the competitors bike and run is in downtown Coeur d’Alene, along Sherman Ave. between 1st and 2nd streets. The bike course passes through four times and the runners will weave through downtown three times before the big finish along Sherman Ave.
