SPOKANE, Wash. -- A North Spokane neighborhood woke up to some heavy police activity Monday morning. It happened near Standard and Sanson.

Records show a woman called 911 to report a man with what appeared to be a gun in the area. When officers arrived, they found the suspect at his own home. They discovered he had a hammer and had been beating his door with it.

Spokane Police said the man appeared to be very intoxicated. They did not arrest him, as it was his own property he was beating. Officers said they never located a gun on the man.
