SPOKANE-- Forecasters are predicting a mild, El Nino winter for the Inland Northwest this year.
The first signs of El Nino conditions are emerging in the warm Pacific waters. This could mean a warmer and drier winter for the Inland Northwest.
During an average winter, Spokane stacks up 48.6 inches. During an El Nino winter Spokane sees 34.1 inches.
In the past 10-years there have been 4 El Nino winters across the country.
