LEWISTON, Idaho-- A sheriff’s deputy has been placed on administrative leave for an overnight DUI arrest.
Nez Perce County Sheriff Joe Rodriguez announced on Tuesday that Deputy Jay Colvin is on leave pending an internal investigation. Colvin will be paid while on leave according to authorities.
Colvin was arrested on Monday night by the Idaho State Police, said Rodriguez. Authorities pulled Colvin over in Lewiston. He was booked for Driving Under the Influence but was out of jail by Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said Colvin posted a $1,000 bond.
