SPOKANE--A House fire shut down part of N. Maple Saturday as crews battled the flames.
Fire officials say the fire started in a front bedroom of a home in the 5700 block of N. Maple. Someone in the house attempted to put the fire out but it quickly spread to a nearby bed.
Both of the front bedrooms of the one story home were gutted by the fire.
Maple is currently closed at Nebraska Street.
