SPOKANE—The biggest 3-on-3 basketball tournament is expected to be a big boost in business for Spokane, but also be a traffic headache.
More than 7,000 teams and 3,000 volunteers for a total of 250,000 players and fans are expected to invade downtown Spokane. To accommodate all the foot traffic, organizers will shut down 42 city blocks for the tournament.
Organizers will put up barricades tonight at 7 p.m. and then will stay in place through late Sunday.
