COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- People in Coeur d'Alene are renting out their homes for Ironman weekend.
Hundreds of people come in from out of town for the triathlon and it's something many in the area are cashing in on.
Vacation rental signs are in a lot of people's front yards this week. One woman said she not only rents out her home but has 75 clients who do it as well.
"Renters don't want to necessarily spend the same amount of money for a hotel where they don't have a kitchen," said Tawnya Mathers.
Mathers said her least expensive home starts at $200 a night and the most expensive home is on the waterfront which goes for $1,200 a night.
Her company, CDA Getaway, requires that renters stay more than just a night and with limited hotel rooms for the weekend her business is in high demands.
