HILLYARD, Wash. -- Neighbors in the Hillyard neighborhood are becoming increasingly fed up with a problem house in the area.

Police say they've responded to the home on E. Nebraska in Hillyard 16 times in the last six months for everything from drugs to theft to domestic violence. On average the police respond there every week and a half.

One neighbor said they have called the police to the home multiple times and are sick of their problem neighbors. They said they don't understand why nothing is changing.

"We've got children who live in this area, elderly people. It concerns me health wise for all of us and safety wise for all of us," said one concerned neighbor.

Police said progress is being made on the investigation even though neighbors may not see it.

"Often times uniformed patrol officers will not work those cases. If they do, it's plainly obvious to the neighbors. More often, our SIU units will go in and make undercover drug buys. Obviously, to the neighbors, this looks like all the other drug buys," said Spokane Police Captain Dan Torok.

The people who live in the problem house told KREM 2 News that they are actually getting ready to move.
