SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho-- Two hikers discovered a body floating in Spirit Lake Sunday.

They called police to report the partially submerged body around 11:45 a.m. in an area of the lake called Mill Pond.

The body has been identified as Luke Anana-Kuewa, 18, of Spirit Lake.

The hikers found him near the public boat ramp.

Marine deputies and divers were somewhat hindered when trying to gain access to the body because of unsafe ice in the cove where the man was found. Officials do not know how long the the teen's body had been in the water.

An autopsy will take place in the coming days. Investigators are now speaking to people who may have seen Anana-Kuewa before he was found.
