State B basketball championships underway in Spokane

SPOKANE -- This weekend the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, Yakima Valley SunDome and Tacoma Dome will be the sites of the 2010 WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires Boys and Girls State Basketball Championships.

Games begin on Wednesday, March 3, at 9 a.m. and go through Saturday, March 6.

Sites are listed below:

  • 2B Boys and Girls State Basketball Championships: Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena
  • 1A Boys and Girls State Basketball Championships: Yakima Valley SunDome
  • 4A Boys and Girls State Basketball Championships: Tacoma Dome

Wednesday morning cheerleaders, band members and fans were already at the Spokane Arena getting ready for the day's games and hoping to cheer their teams to victory.

We've posted a link to the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association webpage where you can find tournament brackets. Game scores can be accessed by visiting that same website.

Ticket prices for adults are listed first, followed by high school students with a valid ASB card and senior citizens, 62 and older. Children under the age of five are admitted for free.

  • 1st and 2nd rounds (each day) $10/$8/$8
  • Semifinals & Finals (each day) $11/$9/$9
  • All Tournament $30/$24/$24

Wednesday play in Spokane kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with 2B Boys Soap Lake versus White Swan and 2B Girls Napavine versus Darrington.
