MEDICAL LAKE, WA. -- A thief broke into the construction site of the new Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake over the weekend and stole a pair of Patron-brand electric heaters valued at more than $700 apiece.

A Bouten Construction employee told Deputy Marc Melville that the site had been closed December 11th at about 4 p.m.  When workers arrived Monday, they found a plywood cover on the north door that was held in place with nails rather than the screws originally used by construction employees.

The two heaters had been stolen from inside.

The construction site is located at 21702 W. Espanola Road.

Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
