SPOKANE-- Hazmat crews responded to the Spokane federal building on Tuesday for reports of a white substance.
Officials say there were reports of a white substance on a doorknob at the building located on West Riverside. Crews were called to the area around 10 a.m.
Spokane Fire officials say someone who infrequently traveled the stairwell saw a mysterious white powder.
The powder was found below where construction workers had been drilling earlier.
After testing the substance found, it was determined to be drywall.
No one was evacuated from the building.
