WAKHIL, AFGHANISTAN - MAY 15: Young marijuana plants grow in a field on May 15, 2011 in Wakhil, in the mountainous upper Panjshir region, Afghanistan. The farmer has been growing cannabis for three years and has seen the prices triple since 2008. This spring he is planting less wheat in order to increase his marijuana crops. Known as the world's largest producer of opium, the raw ingredient of heroin, Afghanistan has now become the top supplier of cannabis, with large-scale cultivation in half of its provinces, according to a 2010 report by the United Nations. Very soon the UN drug agency (UNODC) will release it's second report on Cannabis, releasing information on the rising price of the crop. Between 10,000 and 24,000 hectares of cannabis are grown every year in Afghanistan much of it made into Hashish, with major cultivation in 17 out 34 provinces. GRANT COUNTY-- A Grant County fire that destroyed one mobile home and injured one person, led deputies to marijuana grow on Wednesday.

Officials say around 11:12 P.M., Grant County Deputies and Grant County Fire District 5 were dispatched to a fully engulfed mobile home fire in the 10000 block of Neppel Road.

The mobile home appeared to be a complete loss upon arrival.

A male subject that lived in the home identified as Jonathan Lucas, 27 was found on the ground near the burning home. Lucas appeared to have minor burns and was transported to Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

While securing the scene and assisting fire units, deputies located a small Marijuana grow behind the residence near some small trees and the plants were seized as evidence.

Lucas was found to have a felony arrest warrant and is now in the Grant County Jail.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the Grant County fire marshal's Office is investigating.

The investigation continues.
