Thunderstorm forces Grant County Fairgrounds evacuations

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. --  The Grant County Fairgrounds have been evacuated because of stormy weather.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office told KREM 2 News that 8,000 fairgoers have been evacuated. Sheriff's authorities are assisting on the scene.

They are asking everyone to remain calm. The Sheriff's Office also reports a brush fire south of Moses Lake, near Sand Dunes.

The brush fire is reportedly obstructing the fire trucks.  Authorities are asking everyone to get out of their way.
