SPOKANE -- Kelly Graves and the Gonzaga women will have a first round date with James Madison waiting for them when they arrive in College Station, TX for the NCAA Tournament.

The Bulldogs are the six seed in the Lincoln region. Their opponent is an 11 seed. Their tournament opener takes place at 2:30 Pacific Time on Sunday.

The six seed is the highest ever for the Gonzaga women. They were a number seven seed in 2010.

James Madison University won the CAA and like Gonzaga, won 18 of their last 19 games.

Gonzaga is making its sixth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, sealed with their win over BYU in the West Coast Conference Championship. The Bulldogs have now made the 64-team field in seven out of the last eight seasons.

The Zags' last three tournament appearances have started in Spokane. In 2013 they suffered their first opening round loss since 2007, falling to Iowa State.
