SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Frozen and broken pipes closed a Adams Elementary School Monday and Tuesday.

Melanie Rose with the Central Valley School District confirmed Adams would be closed Tuesday as well. Administrators canceled classes Monday morning when employees arrived and found the leak.

Officials said the sprinkler heads froze and then began leaking. Water soaked one end of the school and left teachers with a mess. Crews brought in fans to help dry everything out.

Rose asked parents to check the Central Valley School District website for updates on whether classes will resume Wednesday.
