MOSES LAKE, Wash. – Four people were arrested in Moses Lake for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting two females early Sunday.
Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday Moses Lake Police and Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call for a disturbance at the North Stratford Mini Mart, 1158 North Stratford Road. When officers arrived, they stopped a car they thought was a suspect vehicle. Inside the car, officers found Carina Caballero, 26, Angel Ramirez, 18, and Taylor Profit, 19.
During the stop, Scotty Lopez walked up to the officers. Around the same time staff across the street at Papa’s Casino called 911 saying they had a juvenile female and Danell Villa, 20, who had just run inside the business claiming gang members with guns were chasing them.
After a lengthy investigation, detectives pieced together that the juvenile female was at a home in the Larson Housing area north of Moses Lake and was forced into the car and assaulted by Lopez and Ramirez.
With Caballero driving, Profit, Lopez, Ramirez, and the juvenile female then traveled to Warden, where Lopez and Ramirez forced Villa into the car at gunpoint, and was assaulted.
The alleged kidnappings and assaults were due to a suspected gang hit order put on the juvenile female and Villa by Jack Thompson in retaliation for stealing Thompson’s drugs.
Caballero, Profit, Lopez, and Ramirez then drove the juvenile and Villa to the North Stratford 76 Mini Mart across from Papa’s Casino, where Thompson had allegedly instructed Lopez to meet him. Once at the mini mart, Lopez went inside the store and the juvenile female and Villa then escaped from the car after fighting with Caballero and Profit.
Scott Lopez, 20, is charged with two counts of first degree kidnapping, one count of first degree assault, and two counts of fourth degree assault. He is lodged in the Grant County Jail.
Taylor Profit was arrested and released after being interviewed by detectives.
Angel Ramirez, Corina Caballero, and Jack Thompson were all arrested on charges stemming from this case. All are lodged in the Grant County Jail.
The investigation continues.
