COLVILLE, Wash.--A former Colville police officer was arrested in Chelan County on charges of child rape and appeared in court on Tuesday. He was charged with one count of child rape in the first degree.
Court documents showed Scott Arms sexually assaulted his girlfriend’s daughter. The girl was eleven-years-old at the time.
The girl told her mother about the incident according to court documents. Her mother had been out of town at the time of the alleged sexual assault. The mother confronted Arms who denied any wrongdoing.
The girl eventually reported the rape to a friend and a school counselor, according to documents. The documents added the counselor got Child Protective Services involved.
Arms left the Colville Police Department to move to Wenatchee to live with his girlfriend and her daughter, according to court documents. They added that Arms denied the allegations.
