SPOKANE, Wash. -- A flatbed truck jackknifed and left the road after the driver says construction barrels got in his way.
The wreck happened around 6:30 a.m. on the Spokane Corridor near the Farwell exit.
The driver says he had to swerve to avoid two construction barrels in the middle of a northbound lane. He jackknifed and landed in a ditch on the side of the road.
The driver escaped without injury.
The Washington State Patrol says troopers cannot be sure the driver’s statement about construction barrels is true. They will investigate.
No other cars were hit.
