SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. --  A little girl who suffers from heat-induced seizures received the surprise of her life from a group of Spokane County firefighters.

Amber and her family had been living in a house without air conditioning.  As a result, she's suffered from several heat-related seizures this summer.

Upon hearing Amber's story, firefighters from Fire District 9 pitched in to help.

Firefighters raised money to get an air conditioner installed in Amber's home.  Firefighters even paid out of their own pockets.

Firefighters are still accepting donations to help Amber.

If you wish to contribute, you can call Fire District 9 at (509) 466-4602.
